HLC Committees

The Higher Learning Commission committee is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the work conducted by three subcommittees in preparation for the Feb. 15-17, 2016 Comprehensive Quality Review (CQR). The HLC committee oversees the preparation of the Quality Highlights Report, Federal Compliance packet, and optional Systems Portfolio Addendum required by the Higher Learning Commission for KCC's  reaccreditation. The HLC committee also will receive updates on the three ongoing required Action Projects.

Communications

The Communications subcommittee develops various methods to inform campus members the importance of the CQR and communicate information on Action Projects.

Quality Highlights

The Quality Highlights subcommittee is responsible for collecting the information to complete the Quality Highlights report required for the CQR visit in February 2016. The Quality Highlight Report is a 7-10 page document describing major changes and improvements KCC as made since its last System Appraisal, February 2015 Strategy Forum and commitment to continuous quality improvement.

Systems Portfolio Addendum

The Systems Portfolio Addendum subcommittee collects the information providing evidence to meet the criteria for accreditation. There are five core components requiring evidence or proof that KCC is meeting the criteria. It is a start to the next Systems Portfolio.
