Steps to Enroll

Apply online​. In-person assistance is available at the Welcome Center. You can complete online orientation as soon as the application is submitted. If you are a first-time student or have not enrolled within three years, you must apply online before registering.  

2. Complete Assessment Testing

You'll either take an assessment test at KCC or submit scores that can be used for placement. Details and placement exams KCC accepts are on the testing requirements page. 


Keep in mind: Placement test scores determine your​ starting point in college courses. Please take these tests seriously and prepare beforehand.

3. Register and attend a Cav Day

Cav Day is a required on-campus registration experience for new students and those returning after three or more years. To register for a Cav Day, log in to your application portal​ and click the Cav Day link. Cav Day includes information on successfully transitioning to KCC, plus specific details on your chosen program. You'll meet one-on-one with an academic advisor to register.

Almost 50% of KCC students receive Financial assistance, which is offered in several formats. Use the info here and on KCC's Financial Aid website to learn more.

Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid. KCC's school code is: 007690.

Veterans: must be seeking a degree to be eligible for most types of educational benefits. KCC has a number of resources for veterans and can assist you.

Scholarships: Each year, the KCC Foundation offers $200,000 in scholarships. Information is on the scholarship information page.
