Do I Need an Appointment?

All tests are taken during Testing Center hours or through remote testing hours. Currently, all tests require an appointment or pre-registration.


At this time, students are still required to make an appointment to take any placement test (and make-up tests) because space is extremely limited due to social distancing policies in place. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Email, call 815-802-8530 or contact your academic advisor to schedule an appointment.

Reminder: If you have taken the SAT, ACT, or GED® exams recently, or if you have graduated from high school within the last three years, you may not need a placement exam. Make sure to have your scores and high school transcripts sent to KCC ahead of your Cav Day or advising appointments.

Exam make-ups

Appointments are required for exam make-ups. Please contact 815-802-8526 or the instructor of your class to schedule your testing date and time.
