If you feel your ACCUPLACER Next Generation test scores are not displaying your current level of readiness in a certain area, you do have the option of re-testing once prior to beginning any coursework or after completion of your first developmental course at KCC.
ACCCUPLACER Next Generation scores are considered valid for a certain amount of time based on the program area you are choosing to study. Contact an academic advisor to see if your scores are still considered valid, what your re-testing options may be, and if a fee may apply.
Re-testing may take place no earlier than one week after your initial ACCUPLACER Next Generation test. Testing Services highly recommends you review the subject matter thoroughly before re-testing.
Effective Aug. 30, 2010, if you choose to retest the higher of the two ACCUPLACER Next Generation scores will be used for placement purposes.
